I had a pandemic baby too. Some days I look back and wonder how we made it through! I agree that you cannot talk about the children without talking about and caring for the parents. Looking forward to following you.

Thanks so much, Dr. Goodwin! I'm looking forward to you reading :) I'm glad you agree about the importance of caring for the parents. Do you have any go-to practices for taking care of yourself while also taking care of your loved ones?

My daughter was born 2016 so she was about 3-4 when this all started. I worked in a behavioral health hospital at the beginning of COVID and I remember showering before even got her from daycare, not bringing my shoes in the house. Things that make me feel like it was a whole different world then, and it felt like it really. I also remember trying to prepare her for “legally” having to wear a mask in which, luckily, we barely had to deal with it.

I can’t imagine having a school age kid going the online schooling. It sounded sooo stressful

Yeah, I remember those days too! We were inside the house but just the anxiety of when my husband would come home from work or if we wanted to have my parents meet the baby... so hard. SO many masks for adults.

The online schooling thing absolutely sounded impossibly terrible. I'm glad we had that option but I can barely handle being a full-time working parent under *normal* circumstances—I can't imagine doing my job, parenting, and schooling all at once!
