I look forward digging into this list! Our rural Colorado library does have the Yasmin books on the shelf and they are great. Thank goodness for inter-library loan which will allow us to check out these others. I hear you on the lack of diversity in Colorado. Expanding my son’s experience of diversity through books is critical to my parenting. Thanks for putting this together!

Yes, diversity through books is critical for sure! Have you joined the Denver Public Library System? You should be able to as a CO resident. They seem to have a lot of books, and I think they have some good options for accessing books when you don't live near the actual library (including kids books!): https://www.denverlibrary.org/downloads

I have! I am in a bookclub and check the Denver Public Library site when there's a long waitlist for a book here. Turns out those long waitlists are even longer in Denver! I haven't checked it out for kid's books though. I'll have to do that for the couple I can't get through interlibrary loan. I am SUPER impressed with how many books I can get through interlibrary loan. It's a game changer for sure! Thanks for writing back and I look forward to reading more of your posts and getting to know you better.
